Preview of the 1st Round of the Siedlce District League 2024/25 Season
In the first round of matches, our team will face an opponent we haven't had the chance to compete against for points in a long time. This will be the relegated team from the 5th league - Płomień Dębe Wielkie. Last season, Płomień finished 15th in the higher league, winning 3 matches, drawing 5, and losing 22.
During the pre-season preparations for the current season, coach Dominik Rosa's team played 3 friendlies. They suffered heavy defeats against Mazur II Karczew and Olimpia Warszawa, losing 1-8, and then fell 0-4 to Victoria II Sulejówek. Płomień also lost in the 1st Round of the District Polish Cup, suffering a 1-3 defeat at home to a familiar opponent, Zryw Sobolew.
Despite weaker results in recent weeks, we cannot underestimate our opponent, and we must approach Saturday's match fully focused. Let's hope that in the first league match, we will perform at our best and that it will also be the first victory under the guidance of coach Piotr Szymański.
