Jastrząb Żeliszew - Sęp: away win 2:1, Dominik Kowalski makes his debut in Sęp's goal
It is worth noting that today's starting lineup included our young goalkeeper, Dominik Kowalski, who played for 75 minutes and performed well in his debut in senior competitions (it should be added that it was not an easy match). In the first half of the match, Sęp had the advantage on the field and created 3 good scoring opportunities, but failed to score. However, luck was on our side, as one of the Jastrzęb players unfortunately directed the ball into his own net, giving us a one-goal lead.
In the second half, we had an excellent chance to increase our lead, but unfortunately, Albert Stodulski missed a penalty, which soon came back to haunt us. A few minutes later, Jastrząb's team executed a set-piece play (a free kick after a foul). The ball was crossed from the right side of the field into the penalty area, and Bartosz Wróblewski managed to equalize. Sęp, however, took the initiative on the field in the following minutes and tried to score a goal that would give them the lead. This was achieved in the 72nd minute when Kuba Gałkowski received the ball in front of the opponent's penalty area, aimed accurately, and scored a goal.
In the 75th minute of the match, Patryk Seroczyński replaced the debutant Dominik Kowalski in Sęp's goal. This change turned out to be extremely important because in the end of the match, as well as in injury time, Jastrząb attacked decisively, trying to make up for the loss. Jastrzębianie created 3 scoring opportunities, but very good interventions by the experienced Seroczyński helped us maintain the 2:1 lead until the final whistle.
