Sęp - Watra Mrozy: lost to the vice-leader 0:4 due to defensive errors and a lack of effectiveness in attack

We have been waiting for a long time to watch our team's performance in Żelechów, and today was an opportunity for that, as the Żelechów team hosted the vice-leader of the table, Watra Mrozy, on their own pitch. Unfortunately, besides very poor weather conditions (constant rain and low temperature), our footballers also had a less than optimal performance, losing to the opponent 0:4 due to defensive errors and a lack of effectiveness in attack.

In the first half, Sęp's footballers tried to attack and their advantage was visible on the pitch. They managed to create a few opportunities in front of Watra's goal, but none of them ended with an accurate shot. Unfortunately, the Żelechów team did not avoid mistakes. In the 8th minute, the guests executed a free kick from the side of the pitch. The ball was centered into the penalty area, and there, well-positioned Adrian Czajka headed it and lobbed it into the net - Sęp's goalkeeper Sumit Sihag had no chance. In the following minutes, Sęp was again able to create a few interesting actions, but once again, none of them were dangerous enough to result in a goal. Meanwhile, the team from Mrozy created fewer scoring opportunities, but those that appeared were decidedly more dangerous than those of Żelechów. Finally, in the 44th minute, Piotr Kowalczyk took advantage of a misunderstanding between Sihag and the defenders, and by shooting the ball from the penalty spot, he increased the visitors' lead to 2-0.

The second half started disastrously for Sęp. In the 52nd minute, Watra launched a quick counter-attack, which was finished with an accurate shot by Piotr Kowalczyk once again. Eight minutes later, after another counter-attack down the right wing, the ball again ended up at Kowalczyk's feet, and he scored his third goal of the match - this time with a low shot from 18 meters away, past the exiting Sihag, and Sęp was already losing 0-4.

Until the end of the match, the score did not change, although both sides continued to try to attack. In the second half, the game was certainly made more difficult by the increasingly heavy rain and the puddles that began to appear on the pitch. Watra took advantage of Sęp's mistakes and deservedly won.
