Kolektyw Oleśnica - Sęp: 3:3 draw in the last match of the season, hosts stay in the league

Today's match was not significantly different from the previous ones that our team played recently. We were decidedly better than our opponent in terms of football, we created more favorable situations to score goals, but we also did not avoid mistakes in defense.

Sęp took the lead already in the 18th minute, with our young forward Szymon Kowalski getting on the scorers' list. The quick goal caused a bit of a drop in concentration among our ranks, which over time translated into a relaxation in defense as well. The hosts took advantage of this in the 33rd minute when they launched a quick counterattack after a previous dangerous action by Sęp. The ball was played to the five-meter line from the goal guarded by Dominik Kowalski and a moment later it was put into the net by Mariusz Szostek. Sęp took a 2:1 lead 10 minutes later when Kuba Gałkowski scored his twentieth goal of the season. Unfortunately, the joy of leading lasted only two minutes, as Kolektyw equalized again just before the break. This time successfully executing a corner kick, after which the ball was played to the near post, and there Karol Komar was the first to get to it and scored a goal for 2:2.

In the second half, Sęp again had the upper hand on the pitch, but once again defensive problems caused us to concede a goal. In the 76th minute, Paweł Michalik fouled an opponent in the side area of the pitch. The ball was played into Sęp's penalty area, from where Paweł Rogala headed it and sent it just under the bar into the goal, leading his team to a 3:2 advantage. However, the response from coach Tomasz Gugała's charges was quick, and just 3 minutes later it was 3:3, with Kuba Gałkowski scoring again. The whole match could and really should have ended with our victory, but in added time, Albert Stodulski missed two "sitters".
