Sęp - ULKS Gołąbek: 2 goals from Gałkowski and one hit from Stodulski decide the 3:2 victory
The Sunday match against the team from Gołąbek was an interesting spectacle, in which we saw as many as 5 goals, including one own goal. From the first minutes, both teams tried to attack, which resulted in the first goal being scored as early as the 11th minute, and its author was Kuba Gałkowski, who used a pass from Szymon Kowalski, ran into the visitors' penalty area and despite attempts to hinder him by the opponents, he accurately shot from 14 meters, sending the ball right next to the right post. Less than 2 minutes later, there was a rather unusual situation. The players from Gołąbek launched a counterattack, playing the ball from their own half to the left wing. After a moment, it was crossed from in front of the end line of the pitch towards the goal. Patryk Seroczyński tried to intervene, but was preempted by Albert Bożek, who didn't hit the ball cleanly and sent it into his own net, leading to a 1:1 draw. A few minutes later, Szymon Kowalski could have given Sęp the lead again, but he failed to take advantage of the one-on-one situation with the visiting team's goalkeeper. In the first few minutes, both teams created a few shooting opportunities, but none of them resulted in additional goals.
Bożek Albert 13' (s)
Gałkowski Jakub 77'
Stodulski Albert 85'
In the second part of the match, Sęp slightly dominated and attacked much more dangerously. The next goal fell again in a rather unusual way. Paweł Mazurek was taking a free kick forty meters away from Gołąbek's goal. He shot directly at the goal. The visiting team's young goalkeeper tried to catch the bouncing ball, but it "slipped" from his hands and was instantly reached by Kuba Gałkowski who without hesitation directed it into the net. With 5 minutes left in regulation time, Albert Stodulski took advantage of a pass from Bartek Wdowiak and scored a goal from the five-meter line making it 3:1. It seemed that the Żelechów players were controlling the course of the match and would calmly maintain their advantage until the final whistle. Meanwhile, in the 89th minute, Michał Kruszewski performed an individual action in the middle of the field, and despite the assistance of three Sęp defenders, he managed to make an accurate shot from the sixteen-meter line, reducing his team's deficit to one goal.
In the added four minutes, the guests decidedly attacked, and Sęp tried to counterattack. Bartek Wdowiak missed a great opportunity in a one-on-one situation with Gołąbek's goalkeeper. Nevertheless, Sęp managed to maintain the 3:2 result and end the battles on their home field in the 2022/23 season with a victory.
