Unia Krzywda triumphs in the 2023 Old Boys Tournament for the Cup of the Mayor of the City and Municipality of Żelechów.
Due to the odd number of participants, the teams were divided into two groups (by drawing lots by the captains). Group A included 5 teams: Orkan Wojcieszków, Ruch Ryki, Kujawiak Stanin, Wilga Miastków Kościelny, and Sęp Żelechów. The teams: Unia Krzywda, Trojanów, Bizon Jeleniec, and Zryw Sobolew, fell into Group B. The teams in Group B played slightly longer matches so that the competition would be more fair due to their fewer games.
The first stage of the competition was the group phase, which was to select the top 2 teams from groups A and B. These four teams then fought in the cup phase for places 1-4. The remaining teams played 2 mini tournaments, which determined which of them would take places 5-6 and 7-9.

Cup phase and mini-tournaments for the final classification
In the first semifinal, the teams of Zryw Sobolew and Ruch Ryki faced off. Neither side managed to score a goal in regular game time, resulting in a penalty shootout, which was more effectively executed by the players from Sobolew, winning it 2:1.
In the second semifinal, the winner of Group B, Unia Krzywda team, competed against Orkan Wojcieszków. This match ended with a modest 1:0 victory in favor of Unia, also assuring them advancement to the finals.
The losers of the two semi-finals faced each other to determine who would take third and who would take fourth place. In regular game time, Ruch Ryki drew 1:1 with Orkan Wojcieszków and the final classification of these teams was decided by penalty kicks, in which the players from Wojcieszków proved better, winning 5:4.
In the final, the teams of Zryw Sobolew and Unia Krzywda faced off against each other. The players from Krzywda proved better, defeating the Sobolew team 2:0 and securing their victory in the entire tournament. It's worth adding that Unia did not concede a single goal in their matches.

Our team played one more match beyond the group stage, which was to decide whether they would finish the competition in fifth or sixth place. Eventually, Sęp outperformed Bizon Jeleniec, winning 2:0 and securing the 5th place.

Who would take places 7-9 was decided in a mini-tournament, where the teams of Trojanów, Wilga Miastków Kościelny, and Kujawiak Stanin competed.

Individual awards
After the competition ended, individual recognitions and awards were given. The best goalkeeper of the tournament was Paweł Lamek, who kept a clean sheet in all matches. The most effective player was also Unia Krzywda's representative Grzegorz Filip, who scored a total of 6 goals. Marek Bożek was recognized as the best player, and an individual distinction was awarded to Jacek Sieraj, who guarded the goal of Ruch Ryki and was only defeated once.
