Summary of Volleyball Players' Performance in the 2024/25 II Provincial Cadet League

In recent months, in addition to the emotions associated with football, we have also enjoyed many thrilling moments thanks to the performances of our volleyball players in the 2024/25 II Provincial Cadet League. In today’s first part of the season summary, we will focus on recalling individual matches. Next, we will publish the second part, where we will more thoroughly "describe" their achievements :)

UKS Orlęta Raszyn – 1st place in the table

In the first league match, which was also an away game, our team faced the later group champions, Orlęta Raszyn. Despite a determined effort, our players lost to the hosts 0:3.

The rematch in Żelechów brought more excitement. After a fierce battle in the first two sets, the score was tied at 1:1. Unfortunately, the remaining sets did not go in favor of our players, who ultimately lost 1:3.

UKS Iskra Warszawa – 2nd place in the table

The first meeting took place in Warsaw, where, after an excellent start, our players confidently won the first two sets (25:20, 25:22). In the third set, they were already leading 21:9, but unexpectedly, the opponents made a comeback, winning 25:22. This broke our streak, and the next sets went to Iskra (25:20, 15:10), giving them a 3:2 victory.

The rematch in Garwolin did not start well for our team, with the first set ending 18:25. In the second set, however, our players showed character, coming back to win 25:15. Unfortunately, the opponents regained control in the next two sets, ultimately winning the match 3:1.

KKS Kozienice – 4th place in the table

In the matches against KKS Kozienice, our volleyball players recorded one victory and one loss. In the first match in Żelechów, our team performed very well, winning 3:0. Despite the opponents’ efforts to keep up, our players remained composed in crucial moments, securing all three sets.

The rematch in Kozienice was much more challenging. Supported by their home crowd, the hosts posed tough conditions and won 3:1. Our players didn’t give up without a fight, as shown by their dominant win in the second set (25:16). However, in the other sets, the Kozienice team played more decisively, securing the victory.

Ósemka Siedlce – 5th place in the table

In the first match, played in Żelechów, Sęp triumphed 3:1. After a tightly contested first set lost 25:27, our players showed determination, winning the next three sets 25:23, 25:20, and 25:20.

The rematch in Siedlce was dominated by Sęp, who won 3:0. The set scores (25:15, 25:16, 25:12) highlight our team’s significant advantage, taking full advantage of the opponent’s slightly weaker form that day.

UKS Atena KSG Warszawa II – 6th place in the table

In the first match, an away game, Sęp secured a 3:1 victory. The first set ended in a decisive win for our team (25:9), but the opponents bounced back to take the second set (25:23). The next two sets, although more balanced, were won by our players (25:21, 25:15), ensuring the overall victory.

The rematch in Żelechów provided fans with plenty of excitement. Despite losing the first two sets (32:34, 14:25), our volleyball players demonstrated great determination, tying the match with two impressive set wins (25:3, 25:12). In the decisive tie-break, Sęp dominated, winning 15:3 and securing the match 3:2.

MKS Otwock – 7th place in the table

Our players achieved two clear 3:0 victories against MKS Otwock. In the first match, the dominance was evident, with set scores of 25:12, 25:5, and 25:2.

In the rematch, the margin of victory was slightly smaller (25:13, 25:11, 25:10), but our players maintained control throughout, securing another 3:0 win.
