Sęp - Wilga Miastków: A 3:6 Defeat in the Fifth Friendly Match Before the Spring Round of the 2024/25 Season

The match began with an early goal from Przemysław Kajka, giving Wilga a one-goal lead. Sęp equalized in the 20th minute with a precise strike from Mikołaj Głodek. Both teams had opportunities to increase their goal tally but missed one penalty each. Towards the end of the first half, our defense made mistakes, leading to two more goals conceded, and we went into halftime trailing 1:3.

In the 65th minute, Kuba Gałkowski scored a crucial goal to bring us within one at 2:3, sparking a more aggressive attacking approach from Sęp. Unfortunately, we couldn't find an equalizer, and in the 79th minute, our opponents extended their lead with a goal from Jakub Biedrzycki. Shortly after, Mikołaj Głodek once again reduced the deficit to one goal, but the closing minutes belonged to Wilga, who sealed their victory at 6:3 with goals from Bartosz Jaroń and Piotr Kondej.

Today’s performance was likely our weakest during this preparation period. The intense training and friendly match schedule in recent weeks may have played a role. Hopefully, as we get closer to the league's restart, our team’s form and condition will improve, leading to much better performances.
